Kym and Jerry Douglas…how does one even attempt to sum these two fabulous people up!?  While the words sweet, generous, and welcoming certainly come to mind….if I only had ONE word choice, no doubt it would be VIVACIOUS!! I’m telling you, just being around them is positively energizing! Both are on TV and rightly so as they are incredibly entertaining and had me in stitches a good majority of our shoot ; ) Jerry has a hilariously dry sense of humor (so we of course hit it off immediately) and is a very talented actor who among other things has played a leading patriarch on the “Young and the Restless” since 1985. Kym is not only a gorgeous Mom, but a television host, author, and a health & beauty expert (although I think she may want to consider adding “comedian” to this list)! Her beauty tips on the ELLEN show are…my gosh, there aren’t words! Seriously, I can’t possibly do it justice so check her out here or here or on her website and be sure to thank her later for the ab workout ; )

Beyond the fun factor of these two though I have to say that I absolutely loved being in their presence. Not only do they just bathe you in love, they are such wonderful compliments to each other. Its one of those things where they are fantastic as individuals, but together make each other even better. Seeing that love in action was so neat that I soon found myself dying to hear the story behind how they met 26 years ago. Turns out it’s pretty stinkin’ neat…If you have any appreciation for romance, you’ve gotta read it here! I’m telling you…deliveries of 300 roses involved ladies!

Anyway, later in the shoot I got to see said beauty expert swoop into action as we ran into a huge snag during our last outfit change!  We had gone out to grab our final shots before the sunset when we realized Kym was missing several parts of her outfit (including pants, which was rather important since she was currently wearing a dress ; ) We didn’t have time to go back, so she quickly said “Not to worry!” and disappeared into the car while I wondered about the need to scout locations seeing as how we couldn’t shoot with no pants! Alas, Not 3 minutes later I turn around to see her step out in a FANTASTIC sweater outfit which she so brilliantly pieced together with what she had in the car! I’m telling you guys…this is the woman you want to have around when you get in a bind! Anyway, I had so much fun shooting Kym and even got a few shots of Jerry, their adorable son Hunter (who I swear looks like Justin Bieber – it’s a compliment buddy!) , and of course one of their sweet dog Brady (who I thought we’d let kick things off for us!). I so loved getting to know you guys, can’t wait for next time!
