  • Welcome to my blog!

I’m a southern girl from Atlanta, a romantic at heart, a lover of family, and a cherisher of the extraordinary moments that add up to create a life. It’s safe to say this is how I ended up with a camera in hand - climbing, rolling, and ducking to capture those beautiful expressions that can’t be put into words. A quote that has challenged me through the years says, “Find what makes you come alive and go do it, because what the world needs are people who have come alive”. That is the best way I can describe what happens when I have a camera in hand; I come alive in ways that I could have never imagined. I feel so blessed to be invited to share in your special moments that will soon be beautiful memories. I pray that my photos bring you back into those moments, and tell a story…a story that is beyond words.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you like what you see!

And the skies parted! l Wedding Photographer l Cartersville, GA

I have to say…I’ve been really fortunate to have so many rainless weddings both last and this year! That being said,  it’s pretty crazy to post two rain wedding stories in a row, and even crazier that in both cases that the rain stopped JUST in time for fabulous pics -thank you lord! Being that the skies were “threatening” and a little rainy on the morning of the wedding all the way to Cartersville, we were anxiously hoping that it would pass! And then, just as we arrived to shoot the getting ready pictures…the sky DAH-ROPPED! And I mean DROPPED, and DROPPED, and DROPPED! But JUST as the girls finished up…sure enough the clouds parted for just a bit and we were able to shoot in one of the CUTEST areas ever! I had found this cool wood factory when we arrived in Catersville and was so excited that the bride and groom were game for a quick jaunt up the street to shoot there when the rain stopped! Not only that, I have to give them huge props for daring to shoot on a platform that was QUITE….how-you-say…*ehem*….shakey, if you will! Okay, okay MAJORLY shakey!  Love it! They so were awesome and up for anything and I was so thrilled that we had a little window without rain to get these!

Their reception was at the Booth Western Art Museum which was so neat and we found ourselves at the end of the night completely unable to resist taking pictures with a cowboy statue on our way out…he was shooting, I was shooting -get it? I know, I know…but hilarious when you’re delirious after a long day of uh…well, shooting;)I had to include a few so you can laugh with (at) me as well! It was such a pleasure shooting you two and you guys were so much fun! I wish you the very best in your life together!

And…..the ridiculous cowboy pics;)

And then we talked some fabulous passerby -wedding guests into jumping in the pic as well….good sports, eh?:)

Dreaming of a Savannah Wedding ;) l Wedding Photographer l Savannah, GA

So I’m going to venture out here a bit and say Savannah has to be one of the most charming places in the South! When I heard about this lovely wedding to be set amidst an oh-so-lovely moss laden Savannah backdrop, I could not have been more happy to capture it! As you will see, these two are so much fun and Bonnie has such a beautiful old world feel to her that is absolutely breath-taking! Not to mention she is cute as a button -best putting on the dress shot ever, right?! Love!

The hotel where they got ready {The Savannah Mariott Riverfront} was so neat as well in that it overlooked the BEAUTIFUL Savannah River with giant boats passing by – so big they almost didn’t look real! As we wrapped up the shots at the hotel and the girls were putting on their final touches, I glanced out the window for one more peek at the stunning river view and….gasped.out.loud! There was a huge (and I mean slap-y0-grandma HUGE) storm heading not left, not right, but STRAIGHT towards us! No joke -I’m talking a WALL of water people!

I quickly found myself running through a blowing, flash-flooding monsoon to get to my car and I have to admit….it was actually quite charming ; ) I mean, I’d totally be lying if I said I wasn’t giggling as I ran, umbrella in hand, splashing like a child through the washing water and huge rain puddles! Ah, SUCH a movie seen….I was totally waiting for Ryan Gosling to run around the corner and scoop me up!  ; )  But I digress…as fun as it was, I was so happy to see the skies clear up just as we pulled up to one of the most beautiful chapels I have ever seen (Bethseda Chapel) so we still had plenty of sun for our to-die-for mossy tree backdrops!

It was such a joy to shoot you two and your wedding so absolutely charming! A huge thank you to Steph for her wonderful help through the day!
